Summer Transitions.

Moving from school routine to summer routine can be challenging for kids and parents alike. How do parents find a balance between unstructured free time which is vital to healthy development while also maintaining some sense of responsibility, structure and learning so kids continue to gain skills. What does learning look like in the summer, and how do you as a parent fill your child’s free time now that they are not in school?  Join Rachel and a community of parents to discuss creating a summer routine filled with both learning and play, maintaining a balance with screen time and holding boundaries while also meeting your child’s emotional needs.

Mindful Parenting.

Sometimes our kids' challenging behaviors or defiance can bring up our own strong emotions. Where do these strong emotions come from and how can we be present in the moment in a kind, regulated and sturdy way so that we are better able to attend to our kids in their times of challenge? Join Rachel and a community of parents to discuss how being mindful of our own reactions to our kids’ normal but challenging behaviors can improve family dynamics and bring more harmony into your home.
